Combo & Ombre Brows

BEFORE:

AFTER:

The pigments used in these methods have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color and blend perfectly into eyebrow hair that currently remains. The results are a natural, flawless, fuller-looking brow. Initially, the brows will appear darker but fade significantly over a two-week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.
What is Ombre/Powder brow?
This form of eyebrow style does not include any hair like strokes to mimic the look of natural brow hair. Instead this technique requires complete shading of the brow, from the head to the tail. The ombre/powder brow can be compared to brows when filled in with makeup. The head starts out light and gradually fades darker all the way to the end of the tail.

What is combo brow?
This style of brow combines the microblading and ombre style all in one. It is a combination of microblading beginning at the head which blends into shading throughout the tail. Perfect for those who are looking for a super natural, yet more profound style of brows.

FAQ'S
Do I need a touch-up?
It is extremely likely. Within the first two weeks of the initial procedure the color fades as much as 30-40% and the eyebrow might look patchy and uneven. After this period, typically between 4-8 weeks, a follow-up appointment is done. The touch-up procedure is much less time consuming as the initial one. As well, any changes you would like to make may be discussed.
How long does it last?
The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years. Many factors can affect this time frame, such as the clients type of skin, proper care of the brows after the procedure, etc. It is recommended to have a touch-up procedure done 12-18 months to retain the proper shape and saturation of pigment.
Does it hurt?
Everyone acquires a different level of sensitivity, so it is impossible to give a direct answer. A topical anesthetic is always applied prior and throughout the treatment, this will alleviate any sensation or discomfort.
Are the before and aftercare important?
I CANNOT stress this enough, before and aftercare are the most important instructions to follow to make sure your skin is healthy and being taken care of properly. Poor before care and/or aftercare may result in infections, scarring, loss of color, etc.
Before care:
Permanent cosmetic enhancements normally require multiple application sessions. To achieve the best results, you will be required to return for at least one control procedure 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure.
Be prepared for the color intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to fourteen days.
-
Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, you are advised not to make social plans on the day of your enhancement.
-
Do not take aspirin or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to and after your enhancement.
-
Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.
-
Keep alcohol and caffeine intake to a minimum 24 hours prior to your enhancement.
-
A sensitivity test will be performed unless waived upon request.
-
Do not tan for 2 weeks prior to and after your procedure.
-
Do not use Retin A skincare products close to the enhancement area 1 month prior to and after your procedure.
-
Do not use AHA skincare products close to the enhancement area 2 weeks prior to and after your procedure.
-
As with electrolysis the National Blood Service does not accept donations of blood for 1 year after a permanent cosmetic enhancement.
What can't I do after the procedure?
You are advised to keep the skin clean and moisturized with aquaphor until completely healed (7-14 days)
- no swimming
- no sweating
- no tanning
- no having prolonged sun exposure
- no picking, peeling, scratching or rubbing the tattoo
These may attribute to loss of color and scarring. Washing your hair and face may still be done, as long as the brows are not completely submerged in water. Once they have healed up entirely, you are free to treat them as your own.
